At the seminar, ICD Greentech presented two representative solution groups, the four-wheel electric waste truck and the recycling sorting station, offering practical approaches to waste collection, transport and sorting in building green, modern cities.
Vehicle electrification as part of the green transition
One of the topics that drew the most interest was the electrification of sanitation vehicles. As cities focus on cutting emissions, reducing noise and improving public services, specialized electric vehicles suited to each operating condition are becoming a notable direction.
At the event, ICD Greentech introduced its four-wheel electric waste truck, designed for waste collection and transport in residential areas, urban districts, internal roads, industrial parks and other places that demand flexible operation.
Rather than simply replacing fuel-powered vehicles with electric ones, choosing an electric waste truck should be considered within the whole collection chain. Vehicle size, road access, collection method, staging points, transfer areas and charging conditions must all fit the reality of each locality.
This was the recurring message at the “Green Movement for Smart Cities” seminar: vehicle electrification should go hand in hand with reorganizing waste collection and transport in a way that is integrated, effective and suited to infrastructure.
Recycling sorting station - recovering resources from waste
Besides collection vehicles, sorting waste at source and recovering recyclable materials are key to a modern waste management system.
At the seminar, ICD Greentech presented the Recycling Sorting Station, a solution for setting up points that receive and sort recyclable waste.
Building sorting and material recovery into the collection system can reduce the volume of waste that must be transported and finally treated, while recovering valuable resources.
This model fits the circular economy, in which waste is not only something to be treated but a material that can be recovered, reused and recycled.
From vehicles to a green sanitation system
The discussions made clear that green transformation in environmental sanitation goes beyond changing a type of vehicle.
A modern collection system needs connections between:
- Collection and transport vehicles suited to each area.
- Staging points, transfer stations and charging infrastructure that support electric vehicles.
- Sorting and recovery stations that make better use of resources.
- Operating procedures that match urban infrastructure.
- People and working conditions, aiming to reduce pressure during collection.
- Data and management technology for monitoring, coordinating and evaluating performance.
Electric waste trucks and recycling sorting stations are therefore not separate solutions but links in a greener, more efficient and better-connected sanitation system.
ICD Greentech supports the green transition
The seminar gave ICD Greentech a chance to learn the practical requirements of the sanitation sector and to present its products and solutions for vehicle electrification and for optimizing waste collection and sorting.
Guided by “Green solutions - Clean environment”, ICD Greentech continues to research and develop products for urban sanitation, industrial parks, residential areas and collection models suited to real operating conditions.
In the coming period, ICD Greentech hopes to keep connecting with environmental units, businesses, industrial parks and local authorities to research, pilot and deploy electric waste collection, recycling sorting and modern green sanitation management.
